Travis Erickson, Ph.D.

Travis Erickson joined the College of Dental Medicine team in October of 2014. He has worked primarily with graduate and professional students since 2003 within UNE’s Graduate and Professional Student Affairs. He has served as an adjunct faculty member at The University of Maine and at the University of New England. Prior to UNE, he worked at The University of Maine in Student Affairs and in the community within the area of public service as a police officer, regional investigator, and emergency medical services provider in northeastern Maine.  

While at UNE, Travis has been recognized with three awards from the Division of Student Affairs for his work “above and beyond” his role. He has worked extensively to improve support services and student success for all students, including the development of student support services related to GLBTQ services and veteran services. In 2014, he was recognized by the Maine Military and Community Network for his community- and collaborative-based work to support veterans in Maine.

Travis recently completed a PhD program in higher educational leadership with a research focus in interprofessional educational practice in graduate health science programs. He holds a BS in biology and a Master’s degree in higher education from the University of Maine.
