Dr. Vinh grew up in Overland Park, KS. He earned his B.S. in Biology from The University of Texas at Dallas and his D.D.S. from UTHealth in Houston, Texas. After dental school, he spent a year providing dental care to underserved immigrants Honolulu, Hawai’i, completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Kokua Kalihi Valley Comprehensive Family Services under NYU Langone Health. He then moved to Seattle, Washington to complete a second residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at the University of Washington. He has presented his research at national and international meetings including IADR/AADOCR/CADR, Hinman Symposium, AAOMR, and ACOMFR. His current research activities involve emerging imaging technology, post-orthodontic bone changes, and improving oral radiology education. UNE CDM’s mission of improving the health of underserved areas resonates with his desire to improve access to healthcare and reduce healthcare disparities through dental research and education. In his free time, Dr. Vinh enjoys traveling, strategy-based computer gaming, and fitness and wellness activities.
