"I really enjoyed my four years at UNE. I had the opportunity to complete majors in both Mathematics and Education. The faculty members in both of these departments are very friendly and approachable. They approach their jobs with a kindness that makes students very comfortable seeking help and advice; I was never afraid to stop in during office hours. Also, with UNE being such a small school, you get a lot of one-on-one attention in class and are able to get a better understanding of the material.

"Because of the education component in my degree, I had various opportunities to experience hands-on-learning in local schools, starting as far back as my freshman year. The Education program at UNE encourages, and in some cases requires, classroom visits as early as your first semester. This gives individuals the opportunity to explore different subject areas and grade levels. The local schools are very welcoming, and I found this to be a very rewarding experience."
