"I chose to pursue a career in dental hygiene after shadowing a RDH and seeing the type of interaction and effect a hygienist can have with the public. I choose UNE because of its great clinical setting. I love working with the community and having the opportunity to have off-site experiences.

"I really like the size of UNE -- it felt like we were all family. The Dental Hygiene program is small and personal, everyone knows your name. I felt comfortable with all of the instructors and could talk to them about anything, even if it was not school related. I also trust their professional opinions, and I knew they were giving me reliable instruction. The front desk staff and teachers are also extremely helpful and made me feel important and never took more than a day to return an email or answer a question."
