Health Equity
CEPH envisions a world where everyone has fair and just opportunities for health.
Our mission is to improve the health of the public and advance health equity by engaging UNE faculty, professional staff, students, and community partners to generate new knowledge, contribute to best practice, grow local capacity, and create opportunities for learning.
The mission and vision statements, along with the strategic plan were developed during the academic year 2019–2020 using a participatory approach where all our staff had an opportunity to contribute.

The strategic plan has four goals that align with the UNE strategic plan.
- Build and maintain a strong and sustainable organization
- Generate new knowledge that distinguishes CEPH as a research leader
- Contribute to the development of public health best practice
- Create opportunities for faculty, professional staff, and student learning
