From Brainstorming to Final Draft
The SASC offers writing support to all matriculated UNE students. SASC peer and professional writing consultants assist you with all aspects of the writing process from brainstorming and creating drafts to the final revision. The goal of our writing support program is to assist in developing and improving your written presentation of ideas and information to present your work clearly. Writing is an active learning process where you maintain control of the paper’s authorship.
To make an appointment with a writing consultant, please use the TutorTrac schedule software. Students will find the link to TutorTrac on their Okta dashboard. Students can also contact the Student Academic Success Center in Biddeford at (207) 602-2443 or Portland at (207) 221-4247. Current students will find numerous writing support resources on our SharePoint site.

As a UNE online graduate student, the writing support center has enhanced my learning experience. I have worked with Lori from the writing center several times and her feedback after each session is encouraging. After each writing session, I make the necessary edits to my paper prior to submission. Furthermore, I have noticed an increase in my writing confidence and capabilities.
