ADEA/Crest Oral-B Scholarships

The American Dental Education Association (ADEA) and the Procter & Gamble Company ADEA/Crest Oral-B Scholarships for Predoctoral Dental Students Pursuing Academic Careers are open to two predoctoral dental students who demonstrate firm commitments to becoming dental educators. Each scholarship recipient receives $5,500. Applicants must be enrolled in a program at an ADEA member institution and be an ADEA individual member.

ADEA/MouthWatch Predoctoral Dental Student Scholarship

ADEA/MouthWatch Predoctoral Dental Student Scholarship awards $1,000 to one dental student who has completed at least one year of an accredited predoctoral dental program in the United States or Canada and is in good academic standing. Applicants must be an ADEA individual member.

ADEA/Haleon Preventive Dentistry Scholarships

The ADEA/Haleon Preventive Dentistry Scholarships support predoctoral dental students who have demonstrated academic excellence in preventive dentistry. Twelve predoctoral students receive $2,500. Applicants must be an ADEA individual member, be nominated by the dean (or dean’s designee) of their school, and have a superior academic record.

Chinese American Medical Society Scholarship

The Chinese American Medical Society (CAMS) Scholarship is open to all first, second, and third-year dental students. Applicants must be current or pending CAMS student members to apply. The scholarship awards three to five students a stipend of $5,000 annually.

National Hispanic Health Foundation Health Professional Student Scholarship

The National Hispanic Health Foundation Health Professional Student Scholarship is open to dental students with outstanding academic records, leadership, and are committed to serving Hispanic persons. In 2024, the scholarship program will feature awards of $5,000 annually for up to four years, as well as individual scholarship awards of $2,000 each.

Brown Mae Foundation Healthcare Scholarship

The Brown Mae Foundation Healthcare Scholarship is for current college or graduate students who are interested in pursuing a degree in healthcare.

Armenian American Medical Society Scholarship

The Armenian American Medical Society (AAMS) Scholarship is for students of Armenian descent or who have a special interest in Armenian medical causes and are actively involved in community service benefitting the health and well-being of the Armenian community. Applicants are required to complete 5 hours of community service during AAMS’ annual Glendale Health Festival or at a similar event in the city of your school. Individual $5,000 scholarships are awarded based on either financial need or academic merit.

IMANA Dental Scholarship

The merit-based IMANA Dental Scholarship awards $5,000 to one dental school student pursuing a dentistry degree at a U.S.-accredited institution.

The Aroostook County Medical Society Scholarship Fund

The Aroostook County Medical Society disbanded several years ago, and they granted their remaining funds to the Maine Medical Education Trust to provide support for students from Aroostook County who are enrolled in a medical school. Scholarships up to $1,000 per student will be awarded until all funds are expended.

James M. & Erma T. Freemont Scholarship Program

The James M. & Erma T. Freemont Scholarship Program is open to graduate students who are pursuing a health and medical science degree.
